1.    Learn your JWES ID number

A JWES ID number is used with a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access the JWES network and online resources.
Your ID number was included with your Admissions mailing.

If you have lost your JWES ID, please ask the secretary at the main office desk.
Monday to Friday, 16.00 to 19.30, Saturday, 10.00 to 13.00. (Admissions Office)
2.    Request and activate your Personal Identification Number (PIN)

Your PIN lets you access secure JWES sites, connect to the JWES network during lab hours, access your course material, post your homework, and much more.

You have the option of having your PIN sent to your email address on file with our Admissions Office.
Before requesting a PIN, please verify that the email address on file with Admissions Office is correct.

If your email address is incorrect, please email information [at] jwessolutions.com with in the subject line "Email Update".
Include:
                - your full name
                - date of birth
                - new email address and
                - previous email address (for verification purposes)

Once the change is received by Admissions, it may take 2-3 business days for your email address to be updated in the PIN system, so please be patient.


3. Select and secure your personal computer.

Make a choice for your computer:

In determing whether to purchase a new computer or bring an existing system to JWES, we suggest you review our Recommandations for System Requirements.

Buying a new computer?

If you choose to purchase a new computer, you may do so through JWES Tech Service where discounts are available on Dell, PCDomino and Apple computers.

Ask our main desk secretary for details and contact form.

Prepare your computer for JWES use

Network registration and AutoRegistration.

In order to use the JWES network, you must register your computer's Ethernet address.
When you first arrive in the school, connect to the JWES network with your browser.
AutoRegistration will launch automatically and guide you through the steps to register your computer.

If you have difficulty, please contact the Tech Service Desk at ext 274.

Computer Security

Users with personal computers on the JWES network are expected to take reasonable precautions to ensure the security of their systems.
Individuals may be held responsible for misuse by others that occurs on their systems.
JWES provides free antivirus and firewall software to students.

Use your JWES ID and PIN to log into the JWES IT software download page to find and install the software that is correct for your system.
